Welcome

We would like to warmly welcome you to the resources and ambiance of our cozy Lending Library. The focus of the ICCNE Library is to provide a home to an impressive collection of Irish books, music, videos, art, exhibits and related material.

Genealogical Research at the Irish Cultural Centre of New England Library

The Irish Cultural Centre of New England and the Friends of Irish Research conduct genealogical consults on the third Friday of every month. All of our consults are by appointment only. We specialize in helping those who are just starting out, or those that are ready to begin researching Irish records, including traveling to Ireland to do their research.  We also specialize in helping individuals that are stuck, or have hit the brick wall in their research.  This service is free but donations are always welcomed.
What we do not do:  We do not do an individual's research for them. We help, guide, teach and give you the tools that you'll need to be a successful family researcher.
We do not do genealogical validation projects. We stress validating and recording your source information. We will show you how to do this as you proceed along with your research.
To make an appointment for a consult please email us at: Friendsofirishresearch@Gmail.Com  and copy to library@rishculture.org

Our New Website

Library Hours

We are open on Friday evenings 7:00pm - 9:30pm.

The ICCNE Library

Currently our library is home to over four thousand books. Most of these books are available to loan to ICCNE members. Subjects range from Irish & Irish American History - Irish & Irish American Politics - Genealogy - Irish Music - Irish Literature - Celtic Mythology & Spirituality - Irish Art - Ireland Travel - Irish Language - Irish Cooking - Irish Children's books and more. We are a lending library. Be sure to bring your ICCNE membership card. This serves as your library card.

We  have approximately 500 Irish Music LPs, some of which are rare 78s. We also have many CDs and cassette tapes. We hope to have this collection of Irish music cataloged and digitized and made available to our members. Continue to watch this page for updates.

The ICCNE library has also produced various exhibits. Among our exhibits are "Notable Irish Women." "Irish & Irish American Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients" and "Robert Emmet & the 1803 Rising."

Art, Artifacts, Objects

Donations of historical artifacts, objects, art and hard cover titles are welcome. Book sales of duplicate titles are periodically held. Proceeds of our book sales help sustain Library Programming and exhibits.

We wish to thank you for your ongoing contributions and support.
